British punk, meet Route 66
Jada’s a California native. Jon’s a Brit. We met and fell in love in England in the summer of 2004, and we’ve been traveling and treasure hunting together ever since.
A boutique on wheels
We sold vintage out of a renovated 1972 Dodge RV and online at LaLaLand Vintage Clothing, meeting the characters who make up this business and the hoarders who can’t let go of their treasures, always looking for that next best find.
There is a forgotten America and we want to remember.— our first website, 2011
Mozzie: a sandal with a sole
Our Mozzie line paired handmade sandals with a cause: buy a pair and you bought a mosquito net for a family in Ethiopia or Uganda. They sold through LaLaLand and American Rag on La Brea.
Names, words & little drawings
Then came the chainstitch machines: heavy old things that turn a name into a keepsake. Now we haul them to parties, festivals and brand events and stitch onto whatever people are wearing, live, while they watch. We make one-off custom pieces too, from initials on a tote to a fully personalized wedding suit.
Our other, louder brand
Trucker hats, stickers and other things your mother wouldn’t approve of. Find them at trash-flowers.com and in shops like Pioneertown General Store.
Somewhere with bad cell service
Most of the time we’re on the road in the old Ford, poking around flea markets, estate sales, motel pools and bars, looking for the next thing we absolutely don’t need. When we find it, it usually ends up here.
